What is a domain name?

To have a website on the internet, you need to complete two procedures. The first one is to acquire a domain name, that is to say, to buy the right to use a name on the internet, for instance: business.com. The second procedure consists of buying a server or acquiring a web hosting service which allows you to have a space on a server for storing the files of your website, your e-mail messages, and your FTP accounts associated to the domain name you bought previously.

What is the price of a domain name?

The price of a domain name depends on the extension desired for example, the price of the domains ending in .com, .net, .org, is approximately USD $15.00 annually, nevertheless, the price for the registration of domain names in Costa Rica is close to USD $35.00.
